from 15/02/2018 until 14/06/2018
In resuming the activities of our Association, we thought it appropriate to present an eclectic program which on one hand recalls for all of us, with its very title, the previous first phase, so filled with felicitous contributions, and at the same time to highlight new paths and heartening ideas in the inexhaustible world of neo-Hellenic literature and culture.
We were duly obliged (and it is an obligation that we fulfil with great pleasure) to pay homage to the memory of Carles Miralles, who so often contributed his knowledge and sensitivity to our lecture seasons.
Two authors – Kostas Kariotakis and Nikos Khuliaràs – situate us at each end of the 20th century: a perspective that will undoubtedly shed the light of understanding on the complex development of Greek literature during those crucial times.
Meanwhile, other extremes – those of the Mediterranean – will bring us the fascinating phenomenon of poetic battles. And meanwhile, still within the sphere of folklore, we will also have the opportunity to enjoy live poetry readings and traditional music.
We hope that you like the look of this season. It will be a great pleasure to meet up with you again.
