Corruption, nepotism and tribalism: a few reflections
Going beyond the problem of large-scale corruption, many societies around the world suffer from "small-scale corruption" on a daily basis. The aim of this lecture is to offer a few reflections on these dynamics of social life without attempting to justify anything or to offer any profound explanations, but rather with the desire to contextualise these dynamics by bearing in mind certain forms of thinking and behaving that have structured African societies.
