FOTCIENCIA is a scientific photography competition organised by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT). The aim of the competition is to bring science and technology into the lives of ordinary people using an artistic, aesthetic view evoked through scientific images and including a written commentary of the scientific phenomenon that they illustrate.
The photographs of FOTCIENCIA are a public resource for promoting science.
