FOTCIENCIA is a scientific photography competition held by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), the aim of which is to bring science and technology into the lives of ordinary people by means of an artistic, aesthetic view evoked through scientific photographs and a written commentary on the scientific phenomenon that they illustrate. The images in FOTCIENCIA are a public resource for promoting science.
