A platform for young singers
We are presenting, in an Operatic Gala format, a selection of arias and ensembles by W. A. Mozart, together with arias from the age of Romanticism (by composers such as Bellini, Rossini and Verdi).
The audience will have the chance to enjoy a concert featuring a contrasting repertoire taken from such well-known operas as Die Zauberflöte, El Barbiere di Siviglia and Simon Boccanegra, and performed by young singers from the Conservatories of Sabadell and Barcelona. Thus the event represents an opportunity to discover, at first hand, our country’s new generation of singers, some of whom are already actively participating in opera companies (such as la Ópera de Sabadell) and in some of Catalonia’s leading choirs (including the Cor Jove Nacional de Catalunya, ArsinNova, Coro de cámara del Palau, etc.).
This musical project was born out of a desire for collaboration between the voice schools of Elisenda Cabero and Salvador Parron, with the aim of providing their student singers with the opportunity to perform in a real concert experience, which will help them to develop their artistic abilities.
