Of the different types of chromatography, preparative chromatography has emerged strongly over the past 40 years. And it has done so essentially in the industrial field: purification of biomolecules, at the level of milligrams, synthetic molecules in that of 5-50 grams. The pharmaceutical industry makes extensive use of this technique for purifying biomolecules, peptides, proteins, antibodies, etc. In this lecture the speaker will discuss the possibilities of this chromatographic variant, from the viewpoint of the pharmaceutical sector.
* Lecture organised in collaboration with the Science and Technology Section and the Catalan Chemistry Society of the Institute of Catalan Studies (IEC). The lecture will be given in French and will take place at the IEC headquarters, at calle del Carme, 47.
