During their 25 centuries of shared history, the Mediterranean peoples' way of understanding life and living has created what Rubió called the "Latin spirit", and this term is the starting point for defining the gardens that he created throughout his long professional career.
Rubió i Tudurí brings together the lessons of his teacher Forestier, the classicism of Italian and French gardens, the attempted naturalness of English landscaped gardens and the Mediterranean tradition of the domestic vegetable garden in order to create gardens that express the Latin spirit, a living testimony to the legacy of this multifaceted character.
