The area of water

The Residence for Researchers is taking part in the celebration of the International Year of Water Cooperation, and has organised for the occasion the exhibition "La esfera del agua" (The area of water) within the framework of the program 'Somos agua' (We are water), funded by Aqualogy. The exhibition is made up of two main sections: the first, Water and Nature, follows the course of the hydrological cycle, examining its links with the climate and ecosystems; while the second section, Water and Society, explains how humans influence the natural cycle of water, focusing on pollution, solutions to ensure access to drinking water, and last but not least the links that exist between water and history, health and technology.

The inauguration of the exhibition will be presented by the curator, Dr. Antoni Ginebreda

There will be a round table discussion on the subject of "Water, global challenge for the 21st century: science, technology and cooperation", featuring the participation of Dr. Joan Grimalt (IDAEA-CSIC), Dr. Tomas Michel (Cetaqua-Centro Tecnologico), Dr. Rafael Rodriguez (IDAEA-CSIC) and Dr. Antoni Ginebreda (IDAEA-CSIC).

The event will be held at 19:00 h, on Thursday, 7 November 2013, at the Residence for Researchers.
