It is surprising that a country that provokes so much criticism is at the same time one of the cultural landscapes that fascinates us the most when we compare it to our own manifestations of art and culture and our university milieu. This observation is the starting point for this short series of lectures, which aims to examine such features as the global city of New York, in addition to visiting some of the USA's universities and taking a trip through the diversity of its different cultures. The lectures will take us on a tour of sites of artistic creation and knowledge innovation which combine tradition and modernity, exuding ideas, expressions and styles, to create the "world system".
