The lecture, which coincides with the publication of the book by Miquel Pérez-Sánchez titled The Great Pyramid, secret key to the past, has been organised with the aim of disseminating the scientific achievements (in the fields of mathematics, geometry, astronomy and geodetics) that enabled the Ancient Egyptian civilisation to carry out such grandiose works as the Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops) more than 4,500 years ago. During the lecture the speaker will present the main discoveries that have been made about this monument over the past 12 years, including the exact computerised reconstruction of the pyramid’s original form, as well as its subsequent analysis, which will provide us with previously unknown scientific data.
