Invisible controls and lack of control: normativisation and family narratives in teenagers’ domestication of ICT
In this conference, the speakers will be examining the different ways in which families from a variety of social levels establish rules and guidelines for their teenage children’s use of digital technologies. Based on research on the parents and teenage children from 22 families from two different schools, we will be looking at the various family and individual strategies used to regulate and learn to use these technologies.
